Welcome back stinkers! I am back with yet another movie review of the Netflix original, Back in Action. I saw a good amount of people talking about it, it has the return of Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx, so I thought I might as well check it out. Let’s get into it!
More Charming Than Others (The Good)
Starting off with the good! It’s one of the better Netflix movies. It’s not one of the best! But it’s better than a lot of Netflix originals. Is it another generic action Netflix movie? Yes… But out of that generic slop, it has some charm to it. Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz certainly do their best with what they get, and it works out for the better. They’re the only reason why I didn’t fall asleep.
Another Generic Netflix Movie (The Bad)
Now for the not so good, it leads me into what I thought to be a forgettable, but sweet theme to the story. Throughout the movie Cameron Diaz’s character is struggling to have a connection with her daughter, and her mother to an extent. It was a sweet plot thread that carried me through the movie along with the characters, but it falls under that Netflix original curse. I’m going to forget about it! Yes, this is an action movie. I’d have to say the action is fine. There isn’t really a memorable action sequence in this movie. Again, at the end of the day this is yet another generic Netflix movie. It is just able to get the slight edge on the other generic movies.
