Welcome back stinkers! Deadpool & Wolverine is just a few weeks away, and I just wanted to talk about this film. We have recently gotten some teases for Deadpool’s Anarchy Avengers! That has made me want to talk about who I think will appear in the film. I will be putting together my own “Anarchy Avengers” team, and I will go further on other characters that could be a Deadpool & Wolverine Cameo.
Deadpool & Wolverine New Trailer/Scene
Now before I get into the speculative side, I wanted to bring up this new trailer that was released the other day. We have been getting the same footage for the most part. Scenes have been mixed around and audio could have been moved to different scenes. The only new thing that we have gotten was the scene at the end where we get the iconic Wolverine V.S. Sabretooth. Tyler Mane has got me hyped! I think this is just the start of it. Ryan Reynolds is a marketing wizard, and if the only cameos that have been revealed so far are people like Toad and Sabretooth, then there’s certainly a lot more to come. Wolverine V.S. Sabretooth is certainly exciting, but Deadpool says that people have been waiting decades for this fight. I would have to say that people haven’t really been waiting for a Wolverine and Sabretooth fight.
Wolverine V.S. The Hulk
People that have better ears than me were able to point out a slight difference in his line. From “You look ridiculous”, to “People have waited decades for this fight”, you are able to hear a slight difference. It’s almost like Deadpool was saying “People have waited decades for this fight” in another confrontation. You know a fight that people have really been waiting for? Wolverine V.S. The Hulk! I’m not the only one that thinks this either. It could really be any Hulk! I personally think that it’s going to be Mark Ruffalo, but the possibilities are endless. It would be funny if it was Edward Norton, because Deadpool could make a joke about him and the MCU.
Another thing that can prove this theory is when Deadpool goes into detail on how Wolverine can fight him. “Full mount, and then ya ground and pound until he makes no sound because he’s dead”. That is definitely how you could defeat Hulk. If it is Mark Ruffalo then of course it would be mad Hulk. Professor Hulk wouldn’t exactly make for a good fight. If this Hulk theory becomes true, then this could have been teased since before 2022. Ryan Reynold and Mark Ruffalo worked on The Adam Project together, and there was a Deadpool and Hulk sticker in plain sight.
Deadpool Variants
Before I get into my Anarchy Avengers lineup, I wanted to talk about some variants that I think might show up. We already know that Deadpool & Wolverine will be joined by Dogpool, who was voted England’s ugliest dog. I think that Wade and Dogpool is going to have a very nice bond. In a mini trailer from a couple of weeks ago we got legs that people are thinking is Ladypool. I do believe Ladypool will be a character in here, but the question is, who’s playing her? There’re one of three options. You have Ryan Reynold’s wife, Blake Lively. Now you might know her, you also have Taylor Swift. Now the last possibility, she has my vote, I think it will be Vannessa (Morena Baccarin). It could really be anybody. Even if Ladypool isn’t Swift, I still think she would make an appearance as the mutant, Dazzler.
Now I’m about to mention one that hasn’t been officially shown yet. I just wanted to give you a spoiler warning. Yes, there’s been little to no set photos leaked during the filming of this movie. However, we have gotten photos of a samurai Deadpool. This Deadpool has golden swords and guns. It is funny that in the trailer, we see Deadpool walk out with golden pistols. I think that we might just see Deadpool kill this other Deadpool. Things are about to get crazy!
Officialy Revealed Deadpool Variants
Wait! There’s more! If you’re a fellow collector, you might know that Deadpool & Wolverine Funko Pops have went on pre-order. With that there’s Deadpool with Headpool, Wolverine with Babypool, Dogpool, and Kidpool. In X-Men Origins: Wolverine, they tried to make their own version of Deadpool, which didn’t work out of course. Well, at the end of the movie, we got Deadpool’s head cut off. I think that this could definitely be the one from Origins. But wait!! There’s more! Marvel Zombies is a current project in development at Marvel Animation, and if they wanted to start connecting the universe together, then you could have the same Headpool in the show. Now I don’t really have much to say about Kidpool or Babypool. Really the only question is who’s going to play Kidpool, and I’m going to go ahead and say what everyone else has been saying, Walker Scobell.
Wolverine Variants
Now on to the Wolverine variants! This is going to be more of a tricky one, because we have yet to really get any confirmation on variants. In the very first Deadpool & Wolverine teaser, we got a look at who’s believed to be Patch. Patch is the alias Logan would go by to investigate crimes. I think that this is where they’re going to bring in popular fancasts and have them play the character for one or two scenes. Patch is speculated to either be played by Daniel Radcliff or Taron Egerton. This is a very similar situation to John Krasinski as Reed Richards. So, one of the two is certainly playing Patch. I still think that one of them will play a different Wolverine variant.
I know Dafne Keen has turned this down recently, but I think that she will still be here one way or another. A while ago, I mentioned that I think Deadpool might be visiting the grave of Logan on the Canadian border. I think that we could see X-23 as sort of a protector. It could really work whether it’s in an alternate universe or not. If it is in the same universe that the Logan movie took place in, then I think that X-23 will wear the same style of clothes. She would just be aged up. If it takes place in an alternate universe, then I think she could wear the same yellow outfit we see Wolverine in. She could perhaps be in the same universe as this Wolverine. By the way, I know she isn’t a Wolverine variant. I just thought that I would mention her here.
Anarchy Avengers
Now here is the fun part! We have gone through everything that has either been confirmed, or has been heavily speculated by fans. Now that I am going towards the speculative side of things. I would like to mention that this is pure speculation! As of now, none of this is true, I am just trying to have fun. Ryan Reynolds has taken to social media recently and teased something with the Avengers. We see the Avengers logo, but with an anarchy logo painted over it. Now it could be teasing Deadpool’s return for Avengers 5 and Secret Wars. I do think that is going to happen, and I think Deadpool and Wolverine will play a very keen part. This is most definitely a tease for Deadpool & Wolverine. I don’t think he would be teasing the Avengers this early. So, who could be in this Anarchy Avengers lineup?
Anarchy Avengers Line Up (Daredevil)
Well to have a good team, we’re going to need it balanced. The thing is, Deadpool is the one putting this team together. It has been mentioned in official plots synopsises that Deadpool & Wolverine are going to be getting in some multiversal shenanigans. At this point it has practically been confirmed that Jennifer Garner will return as Elektra. People with a good eye have been able to spot bits and pieces of a body that could match Elektra. If you’re going to include Elektra, why not Daredevil (Ben Affleck)? I could definitely see Deadpool cracking a joke at Batman’s expense. If anything, I don’t think Ben Affleck is going to come back. It would certainly be cool though.
Before I go further, I just wanted to mention that I think this team is going to have heroes from different corners of the multiverse. There’s probably going to be a heavy inclusion of Fox era characters, but don’t be surprised when they bring in other heroes.
Anarchy Avengers Line Up (Fantastic Four)
Now another corner of Marvel Fox is The Fantastic Four. I don’t think the whole team will be included. However, I think that Chris Evans could return as Johnny Storm (Human Torch). This isn’t the first time that Chris Evans has cameoed in a movie directed by Shawn Levy, and starring Ryan Reynolds. I think that Deadpool can certainly crack a joke at Storm’s expense. I believe that Deadpool & Wolverine is going to be a celebration of the Fox era Marvel heroes, and the Human Torch would represent a big part of that. If it’s done right, then I think that this movie could possibly redeem Johnny’s character. Redeem him in a way that the Fantastic Four movies never could.
Anarchy Avengers Line Up (X-Men)
There is no doubt that the X-Men is the biggest and most influential part of Marvel Fox. I know the X-Men are already being represented by Deadpool and Wolverine. How about an X-Men member who never came to be? I think that there is a very likely chance that Channing Tatum could make an appearance as Gambit. Tatum was originally signed on for a solo Gambit movie, but it never came to be. Channing Tatum was really looking forward to making this movie, but he must’ve been disappointed to learn that it wouldn’t come to be. If Channing Tatum makes an appearance as Gambit. It wouldn’t only redeem the character, but it would redeem Tatum himself.
Anarchy Avengers Line Up (Blade)
Now to round out this team, I think it can be filled by Blade. Yes, I know this isn’t a Fox property, but this would be an awesome final member! With Wesley Snipes as Blade, that would make six members. It could be the original Avengers of mutants. In the original Avengers, you had, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye. While in Deadpool & Wolverine, Deadpool’s Avengers consists of, Deadpool, Wolverine, Elektra, Human Torch, Gambit, and Blade. Blade would be an awesome cameo, and could definitely bring a lot of jokes from Deadpool to the table. He could joke about the development hell that the MCU Blade movie has been in. It also doesn’t hurt that Ryan Reynolds acted alongside Snipes in Blade Trinity.
Cassandra Nova’s Mutants
Now the last main group that I wanted to bring up was Cassandra Nova’s mutants. It is looking like Nova has put together a team of evil mutants from X-Men’s past. It looks like Deadpool & Wolverine are putting together a team, in order to defeat Cassandra Nova and her mutants. People have been able to point out that people like Pyro, Toad, Lady Deathstrike, Azazel, Juggernaut (Vinnie Jones), and now Sabretooth are a part of Nova’s forces. I don’t think it’s going to end there. In fact, I think it only gets bigger from here. I think that we are going to see more of Magneto’s Brotherhood. I even think we’re going to see Magneto himself.
It doesn’t even matter who returns as Magneto. I think it could be McKellen or Fassbender. Mystique would make sense to join him as well. Now I mention all of these names, but keep in mind, I only think that they’re going to appear for a couple minutes tops. I know that the next character isn’t exactly a villain, but I wanted to go ahead and put him in here. If you didn’t know Cassandra Nova is the evil sister of Charles Xavier. Nova might’ve been able to take control of Xavier, for revenge for killing her in the womb. She would then come back, being born in a sewer. This would make for some great jokes from Deadpool.
Deadpool’s Friends
Okay, we’re almost done. For my list of returning characters, I wanted to bring up Deadpool’s friends. They are going to be the main thing that drives Deadpool. Wade loves each and every one of them, and is going to try to save their universe from collapsing. I think that these guys are going to be very important, but they’re not going to be in here a whole lot. In fact, I think that these friends could be part of a more emotional part of the story. If Deadpool & Wolverine are going to end up in the MCU by the end, I think they’re going to have to do that by letting go of this universe. I don’t think that Wade’s going to fail and the universe is going to die. I just think that Deadpool is going to have to leave them and never turn back.
Whatever happens, I think that Deadpool and his friends are going to be a rather emotional part of the film. I also wanted to mention Paradox. I know he’s not Deadpool’s friend, but I had nowhere to put him. What I think is going to happen is that Agent Paradox is going to be a friend to Deadpool, and he will soon unravel into more of a villain role. I don’t exactly think Paradox is going to be a good guy in this. In fact, I think he could be the reason why Deadpool has to say goodbye to his friends.
List of Deadpool & Wolverine Characters
I wanted to give you a list of characters that I think is going to show up in this. Of course there’s probably going to be more characters in the movie. This list is a mix of confirmed, hinted at, and speculated characters. Overall, I can’t wait for this movie to come out, and I had a lot of fun writing this list.
